The Sirena Station is the heart of Corcovado National Park. Occupying many of Costa Rica’s Southern Osa Peninsula this area represents the largest and most pristine primary forest remaining in Central America. You will not find a wilder and more remote place in the country. Will you have the opportunity to see scarlet macaws, poison dart frogs, all four of Costa Rica’s monkey species and perhaps even one of the few remaining jaguars left in the wild makes Corcovado; that is definitely worth every effort.
To reach this beautiful location you will have to take a 50 minute boat ride from Drake Bay. During this journey you will be seeing the beautiful coast line of the Osa Peninsula as well as observing the Ocean to not miss out on group of dolphins appearing or even a whale mother with her baby. As the Osa Peninsula is a famous area for spotting Whales almost all year around due to its warm waters you better watch out!
The Sirena Expedition gives you the opportunity to hike some of the Parks wildest terrain. In the most remote spots of each park you will have a good chance to see more exceptional wildlife. All four species to be found in Costa Rica will probably join you on this hike as well as lots of birds, agouties, peccaries, sloths or even big cats will make this experience very special.
If you are ambitious enough to travel as far as the Corcovado National Park take the opportunity to make it a Sirena daytrip or even extend it to an overnight tour to explore the richness of "the most biologically intense place on earth" quotes by the National Geographic Society.
